We had friends over for lunch the other day and I was scrambling to come up with something easy and quick to serve for tea-time. Since it is apple harvest time of the year, it just made sense to make it seasonal.
A couple of weeks ago I came up with the Sticky Toffee Caramel recipe and when I sent out the recipe to our subscribers I wrote a mental note to myself: “Use this again soon in a dessert recipe.”
Two weeks later the sticky toffee caramel butter was blanketing the macadamia crust and slathering the backside of the thinly sliced, harvest apples. A lovely pairing, those two.
Try Sticky Caramel Apple Strudel for yourself and you decide if you think this is a winning combo. I’ll just say this much… There was not even a crumb left later that night.

In case you are wondering what the heck Palmyra Jaggery is????? Anyone??? Anyone??? It is a low glycemic form of coconut blossom sugar. It looks like a fine brown sugar. We only used a wee bit.
