When we go out to eat, there is a sort of denial that takes place. We can easily be lulled into unconscious eating and swept up by the taste pleasure factor. Just because food at restaurants appeals to our visual and taste senses does not mean it is good for us. Lurking back in the restaurant kitchen are huge gallons of icky oils (some that originally were meant to lubricate machinery not human intestines), pesticide laden produce, GMO foods MSG, dyes, additives and preservatives galore.
You have to remember that restaurant owners are in business to survive and make a profit and the easiest way to do that is to buy cheap food and sell it for a profit.
It is the exception to find an all organic restaurant and when you do there are still factors that you might not be thinking about when your taste buds over rule your logical reasoning. Microwaved foods are the norm for ease and speed in most restaurants these days. Study after study concludes that microwaves dramatically change the molecular structure of our foods and can be another one of those hidden factors contributing to poor health.
It is insanity that the organic farmers have to jump through incredible and expensive hoops to prove their produce is organic yet thanks to the toxic Dark Act, in 2015 legislator passed a bill that food manufacturers don’t have to label foods that contain GMO’s! Think about that and think about how the money you spend at restaurants buying these foods only ends up supporting this insanity. This costs all of us as people nationwide continue to get sicker and sicker as a result of all this toxic food consumption.
The more I continue down the path of eating PURE and doing intermittent fasting, the clearer and stronger my taste buds become. The more I can taste the pesticide residues and the more my guts can feel the impact of GMO and glyphosate produced foods.
Recently I heard a talk by David Sandevol, the CEO of Purium Health Products, (the company whose products I love and have used for over twenty years). He has recently developed something called Biome which is actually an anti-GMO product. When I first heard about this, it was hard for me to wrap my mind around why a product like this was even necessary.
I found what Dave had to say very interesting and I have included the link below for you to have a listen if you want to hear more about how eating GMO’s are actually affecting us and what we can do about it.
Face the facts, if you eat at restaurants regularly then more than likely you are eating GMO foods.
Here is the link to that podcast I listened to:
