That is why we have added coconut oil/fat to this recipe. Coconut fat is a medium chain fat which means it is unlike other fats in that it is not stored but it is used immediately for fuel and energy. It also has anti fungal and anti microbial properties. Coconut oil has a broad range of benefits including being found helpful for diabetics, certain cancers and even for helping with alzheimers.
This sticky toffee caramel is gooey gorgeous, while containing some truly wonderful nutritional benefits.
For maximum nutritional benefits we recommend using Manuka honey if possible.
I took about a teaspoon of it and put it on a little shell condiment dish. Blanched split almonds makes the perfect implement to scoop up the carmel and pop into your mouth!
