The most accurate way I can answer this is from my own personal experience being a pure food coach and nutrition journalist for the past 19 years and practicing what we preach (PURE nutrient dense and raw foods with intermittent fasting and intuitive eating) for the past 3 years.

#1 Less Is More
Less time spent eating, means more time being free from food obsession and addiction. Once I got in the rhythm of stopping all eating after 7pm and learned step-by-step how to properly balance my blood sugar with specific foods eaten, in correct ratios, at specific times, I gradually learned to increase the duration of time I could go without eating.
After 3 years of practicing intermittent fasting, my “new normal” is to have about a 6 hour window of time for eating with 18 hours of fasting. It is a process that began for me with practicing a 5:2 ratio (five days of eating whatever P.U.R.E. foods I fancied with 2 days of fasting per week).
Easily and effortlessly I have graduated from a 5:2 regime over to a 6:18 regime (six hours of P.U.R.E. & intuitive eating with 18 hours of effortless fasting per day).
Effectively this means that 3/4 of my day I am fasting with 1/4 of my day mindfully grazing.
The less time I spend eating, the more energy I seem to have and the more my blood sugar stays balanced.
The less time I spend eating the less I want to eat overall. This process has naturally retrained me to eat less with smaller sized portions and no more mindless snacking. Just those two daily habits (smaller portions and no more snacking) result in easy weight loss without having to count calories or feel deprived. It is just a smooth natural process when you learn how to implement our three pillars for success: 1. intermittent fasting 2. nutrient dense, raw & PURE eating 3. intuitive eating.
#2 What It Is Like To Burn Fat For Fuel Not Carbs
Most people don’t have a clue what it feels like to burn fat for fuel instead of carbs. Think about it. Are you a person who uses caffeine and or snacking and especially sugar to prop yourself up? Do you lean on these things to wake you up, keep you going, give you a boost through the afternoon? Are you using hidden forms of sugar tucked into quick and easy foods to grab on the go (bread or biscuits, sandwiches or cakes)? Aside from the obvious high sugar content cakes, cookies, candies…When you eat heavily processed carb foods like chips, crisps, bread, pizza, pasta these basically turn into sugar in your body.
Are you on the insulin spiking tread-mill in a love/hate relationship with carb foods? Do you use carb foods for a false sense of energy and then crash on the back-side feeling shaky, hungry, vulnerable, tired? This is what it is like to be burning carbs for fuel. No peace or balance in this relationship with food! It is an on-again, off-again relationship that will leave you feeling drained and not able to be set free to be the best you can be. This kind of eating brings out the worst in you, while tearing down your immune system and often your sense of self-esteem. Like any unhealthy/toxic relationship, the choice is yours whether you keep doing what you have always done or whether you are ready to move on valuing yourself.
The Pure Healthy Way of eating balances the right ratios of P.U.R. E. natural and healthy carbs, proper proteins and the right fats in alignment with your unique metabolic needs. These foundations practiced along with intermittent fasting gradually switch your body over from burning carbs for fuel and energy to fats for fuel.

#3 How Much More Efficient My Metabolism Is
Ketogenesis is the process where stored fat is turned into ketones – a usable form of energy to support the metabolic process and needs of the entire body systems. The state of ketosis, when your body starts to covert stored fat into fuel, happens when your body starts starving itself. Ketosis has been confused with ketoacidosis (a dangerous result where the body not only becomes ketogenic but causes the blood to become too acidic as well). This is why we emphasize nutrient dense foods along with raw natural carbs from fresh fruits and vegetables.
When your diet is 50-80 grams of health giving natural carbs from fruits and vegetables, you handle the risk of the blood becoming too acidic. Often people make the mistake of trying a low carb diet while increasing high acid forming protein foods like red meat and other animal products.
Typically when you have reduced as much as you care to, daily healthy natural carbs can go to 100-150 grams per day to maintain your new body balance.
Another intermittent fasting result is promoting the process of metabolic cycling. This allows your body to burn off the glycogen supplies and draws them down. When you burn off all the glycogen your body becomes hungry so it looks for other things it can consume. Intermittent fasting also enhances autophagy – a process in which the cell self digests its own components. This helps rid the cell of invading micro-organisms & impaired organelles and proteins.
One thing I notice, and forgive me if this is tmdi, (too much detailed information) is how thorough my eliminations are. Forgive the pun but once my body is burning fat for fuels it is like a well-greased food processing machine! Instead of one bowel movement a day there are now consistently two thorough cleansings. It is amazing to think about all those years of accumulated waste and debris that was not being cycled and eliminated properly when I was only having one bowel movement a day instead of two. You can literally feel the body metabolizing and getting rid of waste in a much more complete and efficient way. Trust me on this, it feels really good on multiple levels when your metabolism works like this! Can anyone else relate to this? Anyone, anyone???!!!
#4 How To Achieve Balanced Blood Sugar And Energy All Day
A recent scientific study in Copenhagen has shown that intermittent fasting increases the insulin sensitivity of the whole body. They concluded that cycles of feasting and fasting create something known as the “thrifty genes” which results in improvements in metabolic functions.
I can testify to this finding. Once upon a time, now several years ago, I used to have panic attacks from blood sugar crashes. I would carry around picnic baskets of food “just in case” as a way to counter the ever-threatening blood sugar crashes. At times I have temporarily lost my vision and my hearing as well as experienced passing out from extreme blood sugar issues. To now be able to fast for 16 hours is a miracle for me. Additionally my energy stays even, consistent and level from the moment I wake up, until bedtime. No surges or dips. Just steady energy all day long. It is incredible to go around feeling awake, vital, energized and balanced all day long. And no more carrying around picnic baskets filled with “emergency” food stashes.
I love how the mind chatter and deceptive thoughts around eating have completely stopped. No more fooling myself about “just one more bite” or “the diet starts Monday” only to let myself down again, feeling like a failure and hopeless.
One of the best intermittent fasting results for me has been the ripple effect of transformed integrity with myself. Intermittent fasting married to intuitive eating yields the ability to harness self-control vs. my old strategies of mustering will power.
