Dieting, healthy eating and staying active are 3 things many people avoid, until they have to.
The reality… Staying healthy isn’t an option, its a necessity, even if it means sacrifices have to be made.
Having said this, changing your relationship with food can be challenging at the best of times.
The key to transforming your relationship with food? Perseverance, commitment and support and staying focused on where it is you want to be.
The Major Hurdle
Successfully adopting a healthy lifestyle at home is one thing, yet many dieters find they lack the will-power and ability to maintain a healthy lifestyle in social situations.
It’s understandable really.
This means, you’re going to order something that you want from the menu, while consciously choosing the healthier option.
When adopting a healthier lifestyle you must withdraw this idea that you’re embarking on an ‘all or nothing’ train and that one relapse is a complete collapse. It isn’t.
Day to day its all about intermittent fasting. It’s your lifestyle, you enjoy it, it’s your commitment. However, if you go to dinner then by all means, consciously, assess your options and do the best you can.
The next task, is to get right back to the new found lifestyle you’re doing so well with and that you, more importantly, enjoy.
Often, the more successful Pure Healthy clients we coach seem to do well when they cut themselves a little slack from time to time!
Just remember to think ahead and consider your feelings when indulging in social situations. Make sure every decision is concious as opposed to an impulsive one.
Please, never feel guilty as you’re strong enough to pick it back up and stride towards your goals… the Pure Healthy Way.
Remember: Healthy eating and a healthy lifestyle isn’t about restrictions, its about options and choice. What are you choosing for yourself?
